The company
You will be working with a leading contractor with both a national and international presence. The business has seen strong growth over the past couple of years, with a solid workbook in place and a strong pipeline, you will be joining this business at an exciting time. This company has a diverse range of projects across the Transport, Mining, Marine, Water, Industrial and Oil & Gas sectors, and a strong reputation for delivering challenging projects well. 
  
The role
With freshly awarded contracts and an already busy workbook, a new opportunity has been created for an Engineering Manager to join the business in delivering these projects. Your initial project will be in Victoria's booming rail sector, working within one of the Level Crossing Removal Alliances across Melbourne. With the Victorian government recently expanding the Level Crossing Removal Program from 50 to 75 crossings, the work is stable and ongoing over the coming years.
  
You will be working with an experienced and highly regarded team on the alliance, and have the opportunity to continue to develop your skillset under mentorship from strong leaders. With a strong focus on innovation and a reputation for delivering complex projects, you will find the role both challenging and rewarding.
  
You will need
To be successful you will be a degree qualified civil engineer (or similar), with at least 8 years’ experience industry experience within the Civil Construction or design environment with experience in the transport infrastructure environment (road and/or rail).
  
You will be driven by nature, and enjoy working within a high performing team. As important as the qualifications and experience (if not more so) is your attitude. You will have strong leadership skills, enjoy working within a high performing team. As you will be working with a progressive company, you will be able to think laterally and strive for continuous improvement, both in construction methodology and in team dynamics.
  
You will have strong communication skills and the ability to build and foster strong relationships both externally (with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders) and internally (with your project team and broader business).
