The company
You will be working in a group role, across three growing and thriving businesses, including one of Victoria's largest locally owned civil contractors. A remarkable success story, the business has grown significantly since its inception approximately 12 years ago, they are now pushing up into the tier two space and also starting to make their mark interstate.
  
The role
A newly created role due to the continued growth of the business and the strategic direction of the business, they are now seeking to add a Group Estimating Manager to their senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you'll be leading and mentoring the pre-contracts team across three varied business units, driving continued success for the group.
  
Working closely with the Group CEO and Estimating Director, you will be instrumental in tender selection, development, submission and post-tender interviews and negotiations. Leadership is a key part of this role, and you will be influential in driving the continuous improvement of the pre-contracts team developing and maintaining a competitive edge.
  
You will be working with a driven pre-contracts team, tendering approximately $1 Billion worth of work across the three business units per annum. You will be joined in the executive leadership team by some of the best and brightest in the industry, working together to drive the continued growth, expansion and development of the outstanding culture.
  
You will need
To be successful you will be a degree qualified civil engineer (or similar), with at least 10 years’ experience in estimating or construction management. You will have outstanding time management skills, and the ability to oversee and manage multiple concurrent bids.
  
Key to your success will be the ability to lead and motivate your team to achieve strong results for both themselves and the business. Additionally, you will have exceptional stakeholder management skills, as this role has a number of important interfaces, both internally and client-facing.
