The company
You'll be joining a Melbourne based engineering consulting and project management firm, who provide project management, design & engineering management and environmental engineering services to a variety of clients, assisting them to both win and deliver projects successfully. They have successfully built the business to a team of approximately 25 engineers over the past five years, through delivering strong results and in return building strong relationships with clients.
  
You will be joining a modern and forward-thinking business, with a real focus on looking after their staff, both professionally and personally. You will have the opportunity to proactively develop your skillset through working across a variety of projects, in both pre-contracts and delivery. On the personal level, the directors of this business understand that 70 or 80+ hour work weeks aren't sustainable and actively ensure their team have a strong sense of work/life harmony.
  
The role
Due to continued growth of the business, they are now looking for a project engineer to join their business, working on a large package of works made up primarily of four major projects, of which you will play a part in all. The projects consist of a mix of major earthworks, drainage, rehabilitation and remediation. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, and gain experience in managing clients, subcontractors and other key stakeholders. 
  
You will also have a home with the team in their modern, light-filled and recently renovated inner-suburbs offices. The team often get together from their various assignments, both professionally and socially - making sure that they build a strong sense of team and an exciting and entrepreneurial culture. You will work from these offices at times moving forward, depending on your assignment.
  
  
You will need
To be successful you will be a degree qualified civil engineer (or similar), with at least 3 years’ experience in civil construction. You will have experience in at least one (but ideally more) of the road, rail, water, bulk earthworks or renewable energy sectors.
  
As important as the qualifications and experience is your attitude. You will be driven by nature, enjoy working within high performing teams, and likely have an entrepreneurial spirit. You will enjoy networking and developing strong relationships with clients.
