Job Description

The company
You will be working with a leading contractor with both a national and international presence. The business has seen strong growth over the past couple of years, with a solid workbook in place and a strong pipeline, you will be joining this business at an exciting time. This company has a diverse range of projects across the Transport, Mining, Marine, Water, Industrial and Oil & Gas sectors, and a strong reputation for delivering challenging projects well.

The role
With freshly awarded contracts and an already busy workbook, a new opportunity has been created for a Project Engineer to join the business in delivering these projects. Your initial project will be one of the most exciting civil engineering projects in Victoria currently, constructing bridges across both the Campaspe and Murray Rivers at Echuca (approximately 3 hours north of Melbourne).

Both bridges will be constructed with clear spans across their respective river. The Bridge over the Murray River will be a 650m long balanced cantilever structure with piers on the riverbanks, and a 90m clear span over the river channel.

You will be working with an experienced and highly regarded team, and have the opportunity to continue to develop your skillset under mentorship from strong leaders in the field. With a strong focus on innovation and a reputation for delivering complex projects, you will find the role both challenging and rewarding.

You will need
To be successful you will be a degree qualified civil engineer (or similar), with at least 3 years' experience industry experience within the Civil Construction environment, with experience in the transport infrastructure environment. Ideally, you will have some exposure and experience with civil structures.

As important as the qualifications and experience (if not more so) is your attitude. You will enjoy working within a high performing team. As you will be working with a progressive company, you will be able to think laterally and strive for continuous improvement, both in construction methodology and in team dynamics. You will have a strong work ethic, and be driven to deliver strong results and develop your career.

What's in it for you?
In return for your efforts, of course, you will be rewarded with a strong salary package, but what you'll really love are the career opportunities, working with a strong and experienced team and the strong team-oriented environment.

Given the regional nature of the project, you will be provided with accommodation by your employer, as well as a boost on your base salary through the way of a regional project uplift. And summer on the river isn't the worst place to be (especially if you know someone with a ski boat).

You will be joining a contractor with a strong focus on moving forward and being at the forefront of the industry, not only in design and construction methodology but also in how they look after their people.
